Motivational Arts Activity of the Month

The play we saw was entitled Creole Cinderella. It was presented by Neos Dance Theatre and Akron Civic Theatre. Held at the Akron Civic Theatre downtown of Rubber City.

      "This outrageous, silly and often touching retelling of the classic tale is a delight for the entire family. Choreographed by the Neo's Dance Theatre’s resident choreographer Mary Elizabeth Fenn".

The Creole Cinderella is set in pre-WW I New Orleans. It combines all the fun and frivolity of Mardi Gras with such classic tunes as “Alexander’s Ragtime Band”,“Basin Street Blues” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.
